Full Name: Nathan Scott Wallace
Known Nicknames: Nate
Age: 32 years
Occupation: Large Animal Veterinarian
Hair Colour: Sandy brown
Eye Colour: Light green
Height: 6’6”
Tattoos/Piercings/Scars/Distinguishable marks: One piercing in left ear. Several scars, one distinctively down the side of his forehead.
Likes: Family life, reading, classical music, his work and often solitude.
Dislikes: Feeling helpless, dangers to his family, hugely crowded areas, rebellious teenage rock music.
Strengths: Nathan is a very devoted person and has a way with animals, especially horses, that one would consider extraordinary. Nathan is also strong physically and has no problem handling heavily built horses.
Weaknesses: His family. Nathan fears for the loss of another loved one more than anything, and would do absolutely anything to keep them safe. Also the subject of his late wife. If it is ever brought into discussion, Nathan immediately closes himself off.
Overall Personality: Nathan is a quiet, reserved and sensitive man, who only opens up to those he trusts dearly. To those who see him, Nathan strongly guards his faults and is mistaken often as someone who would never break, constantly protecting his feelings. Around those he loves, however, he will be the kind, loving person they see him as. There is another side to Nathan Wallace that he wishes for no one to see. He can be the loving father and provider, and sometimes, the monster that dwells just beneath his skin. He can turn fierce with a snap of a finger and become a completely different person, bring hell upon those in his way, and kill those who threaten his family. Nathan is extremely protective, and it would be wise to remain on his good side.
Hometown: Sanitarium Island
Family: Shilo Wallace [Daughter], Magdalene DeFoe [Other half]
History:
Nathan Wallace grew up being fascinated with horses and animals. Though slightly tentative with them, he had a way with them, and his fascination with medicine combined the two.
When he was in college, Nathan met both Marni Perone and Magdalene DeFoe. He became close with them both, eventually being involved romantically with Marni. Though he and Marni had something special, Nathan just couldn't shake the feelings he had for Mag which he knew were mutual. He and Mag were especially close. He trusted her and turned to her, feeling safe around her. This was a blessing for him when he found out that Marni had been unfaithful to him, and through his shock and devastation, Mag had been the one there for him. Turning to her for comfort, it turned into more. The two shared an intimate night together following Nathan confronting Marni and after she left. It was a good three weeks that something seemed to spark between himself and Mag, though when Marni came back, and Nathan learned she was pregnant with his child, Nathan and Mag both knew that they just couldn't be together. Nathan needed to be a husband, and more importantly, a father.
The three still remained close. After his little girl, Shilo, was born, Nathan still went with Mag and Marni to shows, bringing little Shilo with. Even at three the little girl loved horses. She was there, too, however, when tragedy struck, and her mother was fallen ontop of by her mount. Marni died that night at the hospital. The grief Nathan experienced was unfathomable. He was scared. Scared of raising Shilo by himself. And through his broken state, terrified that he wouldn't ever be able to be the father he wanted to be to Shilo. Nathan was destroyed, a shattered man, a man who possessed a side of his personality that could be potentially dangerous, otherwise harmless unless his family was at risk. Because the horse Marni was riding appeared lame, and Nathan tried to talk Marni out of competing in the class because of it and was ignored, Nathan felt himself responsible for the death of his wife.
Through it all, the one who was there for him the most, when he needed someone there for comfort and to make him feel like he wasn't the monster he was believing himself to be, was Mag, also mourning herself. The two bonded, and now after all these years, Nathan seems to be at peace with it. The accident is still something that affects him greatly, but Nathan is happy. Scarred, damaged, but happy, feeling like the luckiest man on earth to have what he has. Nathan is fiercely protective of his family, almost to a fault, sure that if he ever lost either Mag or Shilo, he himself would be lost.
