Anna walked Little Bay out of the dusty public barn and into the warming sunlight. Although it was winter, it was pretty warm outside. Anna usually rode english (Whenever she was training, she prefered english), she also rode western. Training a new horse would be a snap, but getting to bond with the horse was a different story. Unlike all of the other horses she has trained, this horse was hers, so training would be slower because she finally was allowed to bond with Little Bay. At least she was trained under saddle, which would save her some time. Or would it? This also ment that she had to test Little, and see how much she really knew. And how did she know that the sales women wasn't lying? Maybe she has some wierd quirks or habits, and thats why she was but put at the Sales Barn. Well, nothing she could do but find out.
Anna led little bay into the Public Riding Arena. Another rider had just finished riding a huge 17 hand percheron, and they waved as they walked past, the massive horse seeming to loom over them. The arena was empty, so Little wouldn't be distracted by any other horses.
She stopped Little Bay in the middle of the arena and put the reins over her head, and slowly made her way over to tighten the cinch. So far, so good. Once the conch was tightened, she hauled herself up and into the saddle, talking to Little the whole time. As it tuned out, Little Bay was a good mover. She didn;t want to over work Bay, so after about a half hour, she dismounted and led Little Bay back to the barn to untack, a wide smile spread across her face. :)
